DR TOM PRIOR MBBS MRCOG PHD

Dr Tom Prior is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist known for combining clinical excellence with genuine warmth and care. He graduated with distinction from Imperial College London medical school in 2006, going on to complete his specialist training at some of London's most respected hospitals, including St Mary's and Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospitals.

Tom holds a substantive NHS consultant post at Queen Charlotte's Hospital and sees private patients there, at the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital, and at The Portland hospital, offering the same exceptional standard of care at each location.

His clinical expertise is underpinned by a strong academic foundation. In 2015, Tom was awarded a PhD from Imperial College London for his pioneering research into predicting fetal compromise during labour — work that has been published in leading medical journals and shared with audiences around the world.

With extensive experience across maternity care and general obstetrics, Tom is also subspecialty accredited in maternal and fetal medicine, bringing particular expertise in fetal ultrasound and the management of complex pregnancies. In 2024, he spent a year in Australia helping establish the fetal medicine service at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, before returning home to continue his practice in London.
